It’s all go at the LoyalFree HQ as we celebrate our recent shortlisting for 3 prestigious awards across the country; the Leicester Mercury Women in Business, The Natwest Great British Entrepreneur and the Best Business Women awards. The scary part is that we need to dig deep into our wardrobes to find something smart to wear! As a start up you can imagine how difficult this will be for us. Does Jason own a suit? Can Sophie go in her trainers?

Leicester Mercury Women in Business Award
Leicester born and bred entrepreneur Sophie Hainsworth has been recognised this year as 1 of 3 finalists at the Women in Business awards held at the Leicester Tiger’s Stadium on 28th September. Sophie is representing her co-founded company LoyalFree in the Business Innovation Category.
Finalists gathered last week at a champagne reception in Leicester to celebrate the achievements of each other, organised by Search. Debbie Caswell, chief operating officer at Search Consultancy, said, “We are passionate about the role of women in business, working with clients to attract the leaders of the future, ensuring the pipeline remains constant and that it remains a central business focus. We are therefore delighted to be sponsoring the ‘Rising Star’ award at this year’s ceremony.
Natwest Great British Entrepreneur Awards
East Midlands based LoyalFree has also been shortlisted for the 2017 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the Start Up Entrepreneur of the Year award. LoyalFree beat off some tough competition in order to make the regional shortlist, with over 1000 businesses entering the awards nationally across the wide range of categories.
Now in its fifth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards has celebrated some amazing entrepreneurs over the years, many of whom are now household names. Past winners include David Buttress of Just Eat, Julie Deane of The Cambridge Satchel Company, James Watt of BrewDog and Alexander Solomou of TheLADBible Group.
Jason Nesbitt of LoyalFree said “We are absolutely honoured for our hard work to be recognised in these prestigious national awards. Our business is in a period of rapid growth and we are passionate to keep growing and improving our phone app.” Co-founder Sophie Hainsworth added “This is an incredibly exciting time in our start up journey and we would like to congratulate all other shortlisted entrepreneurs on similar journeys.”
Creator of the Awards, Francesca James, said: “We have been inundated with some incredible entries this year, and all shortlisted applicants should be extremely proud of themselves! Best Business Women Awards
Local businesswoman Sophie Hainsworth from LoyalFree has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Women in Technology category. LoyalFree is an app which promotes Local Businesses, provides offers and loyalty schemes and tracks customer behaviour.
Debbie Gilbert, organiser of The Best Business Women Awards said ‘To be a finalist is a major achievement. Finalists have been selected for their business acumen, determination, creativity and tenacity.’
Sophie Hainsworth, Co-Founder of LoyalFree said ‘These awards are a great platform for women across the country to be recognised for their amazing contribution to business. I am honoured to be recognised in the Technology category and would love to encourage more women to work in this sector.’
The gala final of The Best Business Women Awards will be held on 12th October 2017 at Tewin Bury Farm, Welwyn, Hertfordshire, the winners will be announced at the final.
