Dorking Town Partnership joins forces with entrepreneurs to boost the town’s digital footprint

Dorking, 31 August, 2018 – LoyalFree, the award-winning digital app for towns, has launched in Dorking, Surrey. The Dorking Business Improvement District (BID) has teamed up with entrepreneurs Jason Nesbitt and Sophie Hainsworth to raise the profile of Dorking and to boost high street footfall. Currently there are nearly 13,000 customers using the app nationwide.

Andrew Fuller, Chairman of the BID said:

Dorking is a unique, market town that boasts exceptional natural beauty, eclectic and authentic shops and restaurants, whilst being an easy commute to London. Our Dorking LoyalFree App is an all-in-one destination guide which gives customers an easy way to connect with our town and businesses from their phone. And it gives businesses an easy way to share offers and build customer loyalty. It’s a boon to our local economy.

Nesbitt and Hainsworth founded LoyalFree nearly two years ago from a local coffee shop in Edinburgh with the intention of boosting business for shops across the UK through an online loyalty scheme. LoyalFree, an award-winning digital loyalty scheme, is nationally recognised for helping local towns increase footfall and customer loyalty. This innovative digital loyalty scheme is proven to help businesses attract new customers via a profile showcasing their offers, reviews, images and more. It pulls together all the vital information for an area, allowing users to benefit from using just one app for the whole of the UK.

Cofounder Nesbitt said: ‘Launching LoyalFree in Dorking gives us a great opportunity to see our app utilised in a unique market town in Surrey that is a big draw for day trippers from London – it’s so accessible as it has three train stations. We are excited to support the local businesses here.’

The new partnership means BID levy paying businesses will benefit from advertising in the local area, customer insights and social media support. A local destination guide will also help visitors with vital tourism information while an events section will showcase activities in the town. There are 37 businesses currently using LoyalFree, including SC Fuller, Dorking Sports Centre, Gilliangladrag, Westdaw, Mullins Café, Bakehouse, and Musette Cycle Caffe.
