What is a trail on the LoyalFree app?
The LoyalFree app tours & trails feature works by grouping together businesses to make life easier. For example, a trail could see a group of businesses combined into one easy-to-access place which customers can use to complete their Mother’s Day shopping or discover a Gluten Free trail that promises to help those with dietary requirements dine out safely.
The Dog Friendly Trails
We have seen many areas producing their own Dog Friendly trails on the app recently and thought it was about time we took our LoyalFree mascot, Lily, to see all the amazing businesses in Loughborough that welcome pooches! There are currently 23 locations on this trail including shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. We decided to visit 6 of those spots around the town.
So if you’re struggling to know where you can take your pooch, this trail can help you out! And there’s an additional bonus – if a business has an offer or loyalty scheme on the app it also lets you know within the trail so you can save some money along your way.
We started the day at the Irish Clothing Company and Lily was delighted to see that they had a tin of dog treats out ready – that’s what you call a pawsome welcome! Soon it was time for a coffee break and we headed to Caffe Nero, a surprise edition from a well known chain – we were ecstatic to find out they welcome canines every day and Lily settled down on their cosy sofas in the sun!
Fifty Three now has two stores in Loughborough so we were spoilt for choice when looking for the perfect place for a sweet or savoury treat. This was a great place to get our caffeine fix after taking Lily for a walk around the local park. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious too!
A beautiful and popular food and drink spot in Loughborough; Centro Lounge welcomes pups and even offers free dog treats near the entrance. The relaxed atmosphere and tasty food will make this your new favourite lunch spot after a long dog walk!
Olivia’s Coffee & Bakery is a lovely independent cafe in the heart of the town centre offering delicious hot drinks and fresh bakes – pop in here with your pooch and collect digital loyalty stamps for your coffee and fresh baked loaves on the LoyalFree app too!
Our last stop of the day and lily was starting to get tired – time to relax in the lovely atmosphere at Baobab Cafe. This busy and friendly cafe caters for all dietary requirements and even snuck Lily some chicken so i’m sure she will be wanting to return very soon!
Currently you can find a Dog Friendly Trail on the LoyalFree app in the following towns and cities; Loughborough, Leicester, Brighouse (Yorkshire), North Notts, Lincoln, Huntingdon, Welwyn Garden City and Ulverston (Lake District) and we hope to see many more in the next few months so keep your eyes peeled!
If you’re interested in using the app in your town or city then download the app here: www.loyalfree.co.uk/download or by searching for ‘LoyalFree’ on the iOS and Android app stores.
