Discover Lanark have launched their new digital trail, Jurassic Lanark, in partnership with LoyalFree, to encourage shoppers to safely return and rediscover the town.
LoyalFree is an innovative place promotion app which showcases vital area information for locals and visitors including a local guide, exclusive deals and interesting trails. The free-to-download app, launched in Lanark last summer, is designed to boost footfall and sales in the area by encouraging consumers to shop local safely.
This family friendly, outdoor trail sees 20 huge dinosaurs take over popular spots in Lanark Town Centre and the New Lanark World Heritage Site. Discover scary species including the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dromaeosaurus, Allosaurus and Velociraptor. App users are encouraged to scan the QR codes displayed next to these prehistoric creatures, through the app. Once you have scanned at all locations, you can claim your Jurassic Lanark Badge from Tolbooth Lanark or New Lanark Mill Café. Proof you’ve followed the trail and lived to tell the tale!
The trail will be run through the app between the 25th June and 29th August. Start this interactive trail now and easily see where the next location is with the handy map and directions features. To take part, app users simply need to log in on the free LoyalFree app and head to the Trails section to start exploring now.
App users are also encouraged to discover exclusive discounts and fun events through the LoyalFree app. Local businesses offering great deals on the app already include Brooks, Flowers by Lesley Strachan and Tea Time. Keep an eye out for new exciting trails and amazing deals added to the app every day!
Sophie Hainsworth, Co-Founder of LoyalFree, said ‘Digital trails are a fun and socially distanced activity for the whole family and we are delighted to be able to support the Jurassic Lanark Trail through the app’.
