There are plenty of ways to have an epic night out in Huddersfield. The city is full of quirky bars and restaurants, not to mention some great live music venues and long running nightclubs.
Huddersfield has also got a thriving student community with plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make friends in the town centre. If you’re planning on visiting Huddersfield for the first time or returning after years away then here are my top tips for having an amazing time in this fab and fun West Yorkshire town:
1. The coolest pre-drinks bars
Huddersfield is known for its pubs, with plenty of cool, intimate spaces to get your pre-drinks on.
Get started with a refreshing cocktail at Vox Bar. They do a great selection of craft beers plus popular cocktails including an excellent mojito, the ever popular espresso martini and an amazing grapefruit negroni.
Williams Beer and Gin house offers a great selection of, well… Beer and gin. And of course they also make some great cocktails to get your night started right. Whatever your drink of choice, Williams Beer and Gin is a lively place to start your big night out.
The Brick Works is a cool bar where the friendly bar staff serve up a selection of popular cocktails and other drinks. You’ll also sometimes find live music here.
Looking for a great real ale pub in Huddersfield? You’re not short of options… Check out the Head of Steam near the train station, Arcade Beers in Byram Arcade, or The Grove just outside the town centre.
And if you want something completely different from all these bars then how about heading over to Bar Maroc? This Moroccan restaurant serves great food but what really makes this place stand out is their cocktail list which is full of unusual concoctions like Pink Passionfruit Martini or Purple Rain Mojito.
