What does the LoyalFree app do?
LoyalFree is a multi-award-winning place promotion app, designed to boost footfall and sales in town and cities across the UK. App users can save money when they shop local and discover exclusive deals, exciting local events and interactive trails all on their smartphone!
What is a trail on the LoyalFree app?
The LoyalFree app tours & trails feature works by grouping together businesses to make life easier for the app user. For example, a trail could see a group of businesses combined into one easy-to-access place which customers can use to complete their Mother’s Day shopping or discover a Gluten-Free trail that promises to help those with dietary requirements dine out safely.
BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise Trail
Animal Paradise by BRICKLIVE is a brick-tastic collection of unique models, with the mission of educating children on the theme of endangered animal species. It provides a fun and friendly learning environment and the perfect day out for the whole family. The collection of sculptures was positioned across Bradford City Centre from 5 – 13 March 2022. Bradford Business Improvement District (BID) and LoyalFree worked together to create the digital trail which was a fun and family-friendly experience that could easily be followed by locals and visitors.
Bradford BID launched the LoyalFree app to provide an innovative new scheme aimed at boosting trade and helping local businesses bounce back from the Covid-19 lockdown. The free-to-download app provides free advertising for local businesses to promote offers and events, with the option to run a digital loyalty card scheme, feature in trails, and sell products or vouchers online through a no-commission marketplace.
The results:
- The trail was viewed 1,720 times on the LoyalFree app
- A total of 2,648 scans were collected across the 15 locations
This was a great way for Bradford BID to promote the app and attract families to Bradford City Centre.
Why was this so successful?
This trail was the perfect free, fun activity for families over the two weeks, it allowed households to complete the trail in their own time or make a full day of it. Paired with brilliant press and marketing around the city, the trail managed to attract a great number of people to discover more of Bradford.
Bradford BID Project Officer Leanne Holmes said: “We were really thrilled by the way the BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise trail caught the public imagination and the number of people who came along to view it and take photos and selfies was fantastic.
The LoyalFree app makes it really easy for people to engage with the installations by guiding them around from one display to the next and encouraging them both to interact with a fun activity and to enjoy the city centre and everything it has to offer at the same time.
I’m sure it wouldn’t have been such a great success without LoyalFree and we’re looking forward to working with them on our next trail project.”
App users were encouraged to scan the QR code at each location on the trail to be entered into a prize draw to win an incredible £200 Bradford Gift Card! The QR codes were presented on large, eye-catching strut cards next to each brick model, making the trail locations easily recognisable and attractive to passers-by. Simple instructions accompanied the QR code, making it easy for app users to download and use the award-winning app and get entered into the prize draw.
A great success, the trail is one of many interactive trails which will come to the city. Currently, local app users can also enjoy a variety of trails on the app including ‘The Leisure Trail’, ‘Bradford Ale Trail’ and ‘The Bradford City Centre Heritage Trail’.
