Historically Significant Buildings / Architecture in Bradford
As a key city in northern England with a rich history, Bradford has it's fair share of historically significant buildings too. For instance we could point to Bradford Cathedral - home to a celebrated traditional Christmas concert by the Black Dyke Band over the holidays - or Cartwright Hall, today an Art gallery which itself stands as the centrepiece of Lister Park, an urban greenspace a stone's throw from the beating heart of Bradford. A little further afield (but still within easy reach) you'll also find Salts Mill. Today this too is a fixture in the local arts scene, but it is also hugely significant historically. Salts Mill itself is a grade-II listed building, and it is the reason the village of Saltaire - today a UNESCO world heritage site in it's own right - was built.
