About Huddersfield

Huddersfield is a town in the metropolitan borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire. It is the 11th largest town in the UK, and is situated between Leeds and Manchester, near the confluence of the River Colne and the River Holme.

The town is known for its role in the Industrial Revolution, and for being the birthplace of rugby league.

Being so close to the Pennines and the Colne Valley, Huddersfield makes a great spot to get outdoors and explore nature. Head up Castle Hill for some stunning views of the surrounding area, or stroll around Marsden Moor Estate for a more leisurely walk.

Prefer some retail therapy? Shopping in Huddersfield offers more than just the standard high street fare. Byram Arcade is a stunning Victorian building in the heart of the town, offering three floors of independent and boutique shops. Perfect for finding a unique gift or locally sourced produce.
